One of the most flamboyant UK pop-soul groups of the past three decades, Imagination, mark their musical return on October 7 with Flashback: The Very Best of Imagination, via Sony Music.
Still led by the unique character and vocalist Leee John, Imagination enjoyed mega success on the British pop charts in the early ‘80s, and this album includes 13 of the group’s biggest hits – Body Talk, Just An Illusion and Flashback amongst them – as well as two new tracks, the first recorded as Imagination in over 25 years.
For several years Leee has been working on various projects as solo artist, songwriter and performer. He presents his own radio show, has recorded songs for charity and is currently producing Flashback, a film of the history of British black music for which more than 80 interviews are already in the can, including chats with Beverley Knight, Eddy Grant, Trevor Nelson, Omar, Geno Washington, Shalamar’s Jeffrey Daniels, Boney M’s Bobby Farrell and Ruby Turner.
No completion date has been set for the doc as yet, though.
