Gabrielle is back – with a new single, album and a freshly signed major record deal. The UK singer, famous for Dreams, her massive chart hit back in 1993, will release Now and Always: 20 Years Of Dreaming on November 25, through Island Records. The lead single, Say Goodbye, will also be released on the same day.
It is now two decades since Gabrielle debuted at number one with Dreams and she’s still going strong: she recently returned to the charts as a featured artist on Naughty Boy‘s star-studded album Hotel Cabana, which went straight in at number two on the album charts during the week of its release.
Gabs’ new album will include a collection of her biggest selling songs, plus six brand new tunes which she recently worked on with renowned producers Syience [Beyonce, Mary J. Blige], Paddy Byrne [Paloma Faith], DBH [Angel, Roll Deep] and Naughty Boy. Island Records President Darcus Beese snapped up Gabrielle on a new deal earlier this year.
In total, she has sold over 10 million records, hits including the number one Rise, Give Me A Little More Time, Out Of Reach, Sunshine and If You Ever. Gabs has won two Brit Awards, for Best Newcomer in ’94 and Best Female in ’97. She was also awarded an Ivor Novello in 2008 for ‘Outstanding Song Collection’ and picked up two MOBOs, including one at the very first awards, back in 1996.
