Ziggy So Fly

Ziggy Marley will release his fifth studio album on April 14, via Tuff Gong Worldwide/V2 BeNeLux. Fly Rasta will be quickly followed by a London live date – on Wednesday, April 23 at The Electric, Brixton. Tickets will cost you just under £22 each. Support on the gig comes from Hollie Cook.
The album incorporates elements of rock, funk, soul and pop as well as a broad range of lyrical content. Marley began work in the spring of 2013 and enlisted producer Dave Cooley [J Dilla, Silversun Pickups, Madlib] to focus on song structure and audio profiles, with the pair working together to build each track. The album’s title features legendary toaster U Roy whilst other contributions come from The Melody Makers [Cedella Marley, Sharon Marley and Rica Newell], drummers Steve Ferrone, Brian MacLeod, James Gadson and Rock Deadrick, guitarists Lyle Workman, Takeshi Akimoto and Ian ‘Beezy’ Coleman, bassists Abe Laboriel, Dave Wilder, Guy Erez and Pablo Stennett, and keysmen Zac Rae, David Palmer, Brian LeBarton and George Hughes.
Fly Rasta will be available for pre-order exclusively at www.ziggymarley.com.
