This Site is owned and operated by NBM Publishing Ltd

These Terms govern the use of the Site, Your use of the Site will constitute your agreement to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the Site.

NBM Publishing Ltd may modify these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Sites by you will constitute your acceptance of any changes or revisions to the Terms, so it is wise to check this page regularly.
We may terminate your access to the Site, without notice, in addition to our other remedies if you fail to follow these Terms.

 

Subscription Terms & Conditions

These subscriptions may not include all promotional items packaged with the magazine. Initial 12 month non-refundable contract applies to all 12 month subscriptions. Thereafter subscriptions will be renewed automatically at 6 monthly intervals unless you tell us otherwise by emailing editor@echoesmagazine.co.uk at least seven days prior to date of renewal. Annual subscriptions to the print magazine are for 12 issues. UK subscribers to the print magazine qualify for the free promotional CD, as described on the subscriptions page of the magazine. Online and overseas subscriptions do not include the free CD.

You are responsible for all activities under your password or account, and you must keep your password confidential. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorised use of your password or account or any other breach of security. You must not disrupt the functioning of the Site, solicit or use another user’s password or otherwise act in a way that interferes with other users’ use of the Site.

You agree not to disrupt, modify or interfere with the Site or its associated software, hardware and servers in any way, and you agree not to impede or interfere with others’ use of the Site. You further agree not to alter or tamper with any information or materials on, or associated with, the Site.

You acknowledge that NBM Publishing Ltd has not reviewed and does not endorse the content of all sites linked to from the Site and is not responsible for the content or actions of any other sites linked to from the Site. Linking to any other service or site from this Site is at your sole risk.

You accept that NBM Publishing Ltd may keep a record of your IP and/or host address for reference purposes only (in order to keep a track on the amount of visitors per day). In the event of any breach of these Terms, NBM Publishing Ltd may view and add your IP and/or host address to an ‘excluded database’ to prevent you gaining further access to the Sites. These addresses are not distributed or given out to any third party services.

6 month subscriptions
There are 11 issues of the magazine per year: we print a Dec/Jan double issue. Therefore if you have taken out your 6 month subscription to the magazine from 1st July onwards your subscription will encompass 7 calendar months in order to receive 6 issues of the magazine. The final issue in any year is the December/January double issue. The next issue published after that is the February issue, published at the end of January.

Annual subscriptions
There are 11 issues of the magazine per year. Therefore your subscription will encompass 13 months in order to receive 12 issues of the magazine. The final issue in any year is the December/January double issue. The next issue published after that is the February issue, published at the end of January.

 

Privacy

The information that you provide about yourself to NBM Publishing Ltd will only be used by NBM Publishing Ltd in accordance with its Privacy Policy set out below.

The Privacy Policy does not apply to third party sites

NBM Publishing Ltd may from time to time invite you to provide personal information in order to provide you with services (such as email newsletters and competitions) and to enable you to order goods. In order to deliver such services or goods, NBM Publishing Ltd will need to process and store your personal information and may need to transfer it to affiliates and service providers for processing inside the European Economic Area.

In the event you submit personal information to us through the Site, you represent and warrant that you have the authority and consent to the collection, processing, transmission, use, communication and disclosure of such information by us in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By submitting your personal information, you consent to such processing and transfers in connection with such orders, offers or services and for any other purposes to which you consent at the time you provide the information.

In order to enable NBM Publishing Ltd to provide you with a personalised browsing experience, this site may use ‘cookie’ information collection technology. The information gathered by NBM Publishing Ltd cookies is limited to use within NBM Publishing Ltd for the purposes of enhancing your experience on our Site.

NBM Publishing Ltd will only use your personal information for purposes for which you have consented and will not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes without such consent. In order to protect your privacy, NBM Publishing Ltd seeks to comply with the UK Data Protection Act 1998.

NBM Publishing Ltd follows strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of personal information so as to prevent unauthorised access by third parties. NBM Publishing Ltd also requires those parties to whom NBM Publishing Ltd transfers personal information to comply with the same.

Data Protection: NBM Publishing Ltd and our sponsors and promoters may use your details to let you know about other products and services which we think would be of interest to you. Occasionally, we may also pass your details to selected companies. This will only be done with your permission so we advise you to check the tick boxes on the relevant form carefully.

The copyright and all other rights in all of the material on this site are owned by NBM Publishing Ltd or the material is included with the permission of the rights owner. As a visitor to this site, you may copy material on this site for your own private or domestic purposes, but no copying, adapting or transmitting for any purpose other than your own private or domestic purposes is permitted.

Privacy Policy

What information do we collect from you?
NBM Publishing Ltd collects Personal Data and Anonymous Data from you when you visit our sites or when you send us information or communications. “Personal Data” means data that allows someone to identify you, including, for example, your name, address, telephone and mobile numbers, e-mail address, as well as any information about you that is associated with or linked to, or could be linked to, any of the foregoing data.

“Anonymous Data” means data that is not associated with or linked to your Personal Data.

Anonymous Data does not permit the identification of individual persons. We collect Personal Data and Anonymous Data, as described below.

How we collect Personal Data
We collect Personal Data from you, such as your name, contact details, country of residence, zip code or post code, gender or birth date when you register on one of our sites or when you choose to use the various services we provide. We also collect other types of Personal Data that you provide to us voluntarily, when, for instance, you make a purchase, respond to surveys and questionnaires, or enter a competition. If you provide us feedback regarding our sites or services via e-mail, we will collect your name and e-mail address in order to send you a reply.

In order to improve our services to you, we may ask you to voluntarily complete confidential surveys. We do not ask you to provide us any personally identifiable data in association with these surveys although we do associate your responses with Personal Data. If you do not wish to participate in a survey, however, simply decline to participate when asked.

Personal Data that we collect from you about others
If you decide to invite a friend or family member to join any of our services, we will collect your name and e-mail address as well as your friend’s or family member’s e-mail address in order to send their e-mail. We will always ask your permission if we want to mention your name when contacting your friend or family member.

This information is used once only and is not saved in our database, unless they have entered a competition or other promotion in which case their e-mail address is stored only for that purpose. If you decide to invite a friend or family member to become involved we will collect and save their e-mail address into our database, along with their contact preferences, as we would for anyone who registers on our sites.

How will we use the information we collect?
NBM Publishing Ltd uses your Personal Data to provide you with a customised Web experience and to provide services to you. Such services include sending you marketing messages if you have given us permission to do so, processing your answers to quizzes and other competitions, and sending electronic newsletters and promotional e-mails to you. We also use Personal Data for customer service messages, and to notify you about updates to our services and to respond to your requests.

We may create Anonymous Data records from Personal Data by excluding information (such as your name) that makes the data personally identifiable to you. We use this Anonymous Data to perform statistical analyses of users’ aggregate behaviour so that we may enhance the content of our services and improve site navigation. NBM Publishing Ltd reserves the right to use and disclose Anonymous Data to third parties at its discretion, in aggregate form.

If you elect to receive communications from us we may periodically send you free newsletters and e-mails that directly promote the use of our sites or the purchase of our products or services and may contain advertisements for third parties.

Do we share your Personal Data with other companies?
Except as otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy and in our Privacy Notices where you give us your consent, we do not sell, trade, or rent the Personal Data collected from our services to third parties.

However, we will share your Personal Data with our third party suppliers who need to process your data in order to fulfil your request, such as to charge your credit card (if authorised by you), fill your order, and deliver electronic newsletters and promotional e-mails. These third parties are required under contract not to use your Personal Data other than to provide the services requested by NBM Publishing Ltd and to guarantee to our satisfaction that they have sufficient processes in place to ensure the security of your data whilst it is in their care.

If you send a testimonial or comment to us, we may post it on our site or use it in advertising materials. We will attribute your testimonial to you by posting your first and last initial or your first name and last initial next to your testimonial on our site or advertising materials, if provided.

Regardless of any choices you make regarding your Personal Data NBM Publishing Ltd may disclose Personal Data if it believes in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to (a) comply with relevant laws or to respond to subpoenas or warrants served on us; or (b) protect or defend the rights or property of NBM Publishing Ltd or users of our services.

If another company acquires our company or our assets, that company will possess the Personal Data collected by it and us and will assume the rights and obligations regarding your Personal Data as described in this Privacy Policy and the terms under which you submitted your data.

If you provide NBM Publishing Ltd with your contact details and agree to receive promotional messages, we may share your details with our affiliates or third-party businesses that offer goods or services that we believe may be of interest to our customers. Except as otherwise expressly provided in this Privacy Policy or on this website, only NBM Publishing Ltd collects Personal Data through the services provided solely by NBM Publishing Ltd; this Privacy Policy applies only to the use and disclosure of Personal Data that we collect while you use our services.

When you click on advertisements or links on NBM Publishing Ltd sites, you will leave that site and go to another site. During this process, a third party (including a third party advertising service that may provide services to an advertiser) may collect Personal Data or Anonymous Data from you, such as the URL you just came from, the URL you go to next, your browser type, and your IP address. Our display of advertisements or links to any other company or site is for your convenience and does not signify our endorsement of such company or site (or the contents of the site). Social media, social commerce and other third parties.
We work with trusted third parties, including social network sites like Facebook, and with application developers who specialise in social media so we can connect to your social networks. Other social networks we use include Twitter, MySpace and You Tube. All of these companies operate Third Party Sites. We provide access to our Sites by third parties and business partners so we can generate interest in our products and services among members of your social networks and to allow you to share product and service interests with friends in your network.

We cannot control how your data is collected, stored, used or shared by Third Party Sites or to whom it is disclosed. Please be sure to review the privacy policies and privacy settings on your social networking sites to make sure you understand the information they are sharing. If you do not want a Third Party Site to share information about you, you must contact that site and determine whether it gives you the opportunity to opt-out of sharing such information. NBM Publishing Ltd is not responsible for how these third parties may use information collected from or about you.

Where is your information processed and how do we keep your Personal Data secure?
Your Personal Data may be processed both in and outside of your own country. When you submit your details and in whichever country you are situated you agree to the data being transferred to the UK and processed under the terms of the UK Data Protection Act 1998 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 which stem from European Directives 95/46/EC and 2002/58/EC respectively. If you are not in agreement please do not give us your personal details.

We may need to transfer your data outside the UK (and possibly to places outside the European Economic Area) and by using NBM Publishing Ltd sites, or responding to our communications, you consent to us transferring any such data in this way. However any company, whether inside or outside the EEA, to whom we transfer data is contractually bound to protect your Personal Data.

NBM Publishing Ltd and affiliates are committed to protecting the security of your Personal Data. We use a variety of industry-standard security technologies and procedures to help protect your Personal Data from unauthorised access, use, or disclosure.

Except as provided elsewhere in this Privacy Policy, NBM Publishing Ltd limits access to Personal Data in electronic databases to those persons (including employees and contractors) in NBM Publishing Ltd ‘s organisation who have a business need for such access and those persons are under contract to keep your data secure.

Even though NBM Publishing Ltd has taken significant steps to ensure that your Personal Data is not intercepted, accessed, used, or disclosed by unauthorised persons, you should know that NBM Publishing Ltd cannot eliminate security risks associated with Personal Data.

We are entitled by law to charge a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you. We are also legally obliged to request you to provide us with identification so that we can be certain that you are entitled to receive the requested data.

Dispute Resolution
If you believe that NBM Publishing Ltd has not adhered to this Privacy Policy, please contact us by e-mail at editor@echoesmagazine.co.uk. We will do our best to address your concerns. If you feel that your complaint has been addressed incompletely, we invite you to let us know for further investigation.

Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes in the way we collect, use, and/or share your Personal Data, we may notify you by sending you an e-mail to the last e-mail address you provided to us, by writing to your last known postal address and/or by prominently posting notice of the changes on our sites. Any material changes to this Privacy Policy will be effective thirty (30) calendar days following our posting of notice of the changes on our sites.

These changes will be effective immediately for new users of our services.

Please note that at all times you are responsible for updating your Personal Data to provide us with your most current e-mail and postal address. In the event that the last e-mail or postal address that you have provided us is not valid, or for any reason is not capable of delivering to you the notice described above, our despatch of the e-mail or letter containing such notice will nonetheless constitute effective notice of the changes described in the notice.
