Roberson’s New Heartaches

New Jersey soul star Eric Roberson begins 2014 – his 20th year in the music business – with the release of a new collection of unheard singles, features on other artists’ projects and three brand new songs.
Titled B-Sides, Features & Heartaches, the 13-song album features such as Angela Johnson, Les Nubians and DJ Spinna, and the tune Postcards From The Edge, featuring Wes Felton, includes background vocals from Raheem DeVaughn and Bilal. Label is, of course, Dome Records.

Eric will make his on-stage return to the UK soon too, playing dates to coincide with the album release – at London’s Clapham Grand on February 7, Manchester’s Band On The Wall on February 8 and The Drum, Birmingham on February 9.

The guy’s next completely new studio album – his ninth – will follow later in 2014.
Last year Roberson moved into gospel music for the first time when he teamed up with Fred Hammond, Blackstreet member Dave Hollister and Brian Courtney Wilson to form United Tenors, whose self-titled RCA album hit the Billboard Top 40. He has since been touring extensively with them.
