Texan-born New York-based trumpeter, vocalist and composer Leron Thomas is to play London’s Jazz Café on November 5, in support of his brand new album Cliquish, upcoming on Nov 9.
Thomas made his mark with contributions to projects from the likes of Bilal, Jason Moran, Guts, Meshell Ndegeocello and of course the stunning vocal on Zara McFarlane’s Angie La La.
His own album is a blend of funky soul, electro-pop, driving basslines, hard indie rock riffs and electro pop sci-fi weirdness – truly alternative black music that sounds like no other.
