Jazzie Talks The Classics

Soul II Soul leader Jazzie B will this month be taking part in The Royal Albert Hall’s Summer of Love: Revisited programme, sitting in with Classic Album Sundays’ Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy in the Hall’s Elgar Room to discuss how black musicians and producers inspired new musical genres, and became entrepreneurs in the face of racial adversity.
Music from James Brown, Donny Hathaway, Sam Cooke, Curtis Mayfield, Isaac Hayes, Marvin Gaye, George Clinton, Berry Gordy, Sir Coxsone Dodd and Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry will feature, played on vinyl on the CAS audiophile hi-fi featuring Audio Note UK and Klipschorns.
