Following on from a sold out first night, London’s Jazz Café people have now added two more dates to their ‘live history of the blues’, Blues Chronicles, in February next year.
Check out Bush Hall at 310 Uxbridge Rd, London W12 7LJ on Thursday, February 27 and Friday, February 28 to hear the story of 20 incredible artists that helped shape the musical foundations of America, told through 20 short films and live performances. A century of the blues will be recreated note-for-note over the course of the evening, a first class band of musicians and special guest singers digging deep into the music and stories of Robert Johnson, Leadbelly, Muddy Waters, Sister Rosetta, Howlin’ Wolf, Bo Diddley, Big Mama Thornton, The Rolling Stones, RL Burnside, Jack White and more. From the rural sounds of the 1920s Mississippi Delta, the urban music of 1950s Chicago, the British blues boom of the 1960s through to the present day, the blues will be honoured across the board.
Doors 19:30. Tickets £25-£30. https://www.ticketweb.uk/event/the-blues-chronicles-bush-hall-tickets/9954965?pl=JC
